IV XMAS 2020

After writing yesterday’s post, my wife and I finally busted out the Christmas decorations, strung some lights around the room, and hung ornaments wherever we felt. This could very well be the last Christmas we celebrate in this old apartment of ours, and that is bittersweet, but feels about right. After we did some last minute decorating we watched Jingle Jangle which exceeded my expectations and was a black lead production on both sides of the camera. I could also see this being a stage production in the future, and I see the Gustafson (Keegan-Michael Key) role in my future.

We are having lobster for dinner, it’s been 9 months since I worked at Ed’s Lobster Bar in SoHo, although my wife did make lobster rolls for my Birthday this year. Bushwick is quiet today, it’s kind of a lazy gray day. My body is feeling pretty sore from yesterday’s Muay Thai (kickboxing) training, but I’m glad I got it in, so I can just enjoy all the snacks and food. I’m gonna get a meditation in, after I post this, and do my vocal warmups. That’s what I’m striving and encouraging people to do: Figure out what lights you up, whether that be meditation, martial arts, singing, writing, filmmaking, solving world hunger and peace, and doing more of those things. Every. Single. Day. God (or the universe, the force, or however you interpret this great thing called life) Bless Us, Everyone.
